This collection was inspired by the baji, a traditional Korean pant. Historically, women wore bajis under their hanboks, which were voluminous dresses. However, in the time periods when horseback riding was considered an aristocratic activity, it became fashionable to wear the baji on its own. I found this connection very inspiring, and so explored the idea of revealing and concealing within this piece, cutting away from a traditional baji pattern and adding sheer fabric in its place.
